Terms – introduction & general notes

Hi – I’m Edward – CEO and Admin at 101ChristianNetworks.com and 101’s related sites. In the interest of the safety of members, 101’s social and singles websites and communities requires all members to enter their REAL first and last names into their accounts when singing up. However – only first names are visible to other members on profile or to search engines, but all other written profile data is hidden from non-members (which means search engines too). Accounts without real names entered, or with fake first or last names will not be approved and removed. 101ChristianNetworks does not sell or share any or data with third parties except Google’s Adsense program (we use to finance the site) but this data contains no personally identifiable information.

A note on our coming single-sign-on ‘101Passport’ feature and deleting accounts and data

Currently, when deleting your account from any of our sites you joined, you simply delete your data from each site you joined separately (as the data for each account is held on those individual sites). At some point in the future for ease of use – new and existing members will instead use a ’101Passport’ that will merge our services and data into one main site. There is no hocus-pocus here – I am just one person and desperately need to make my administration life simpler!

The ‘passport’ allows members to join any of our sites ‘on the fly’ simply by logging in to each new service they want to join using their account data held on the main site with what’s called a single-sign-on (just like when you see site login pages that ask you; “sign in using Google or Facebook?“). To be clear, in future to simplify our administration and your use of our sites, your account data may be moved and held on ONE main site – eg at say 101christiannetworks.com.

When this 101Passport system becomes active, when deleting your account and data – instead of deleting yourself from individual sites you will instead simply be directed to our main site to delete your account and data, which will in turn also remove access from all our sites. That said, there may be some websites and services we own or create where it makes more sense to us and members to keep the data separate. If that is the case users will be given specific account and data deleting instructions on that site.

SAFETY TERMS

By joining 101ChristianNetworks you Agree to:
1) not ask, send or receive money from other members (on or off site). This results in immediate termination.
2) meet people in a public place (not at someone’s house), notify someone where you are going and take a phone.
3) take care when developing a relationship, ask questions to verify who people say they are (we do our very best to block and eliminate unsuitable persons for this free service but CAN’T be held responsible for misuse). It is also your responsibility to report any suspect activity so we can deal with it for the safety of other members.
4) read our Safety Guide and Warnings pages that help you spot if a member is bogus. Your first email in your 101 inbox from ‘Edward’ (101 webmaster) contains this information and also see the ‘Warning’ link on the members homepage after you login. 101 Christian Friends & Singles Subscriber Agreement.
This is a legal agreement (“Agreement”) between you and 101 Christian singles dating, friends, chat & events service. Read the Agreement before registering on 101. When registering on 101 Christian singles you become a ‘member’ of our Service and agree to adhere to the ‘terms’ and ‘conditions’ of this Agreement for as long as you are a member. You can’t join 101 free Christian singles, free dating, pen-pals, chat, personals & Christian events service without accepting the following agreement. Registration on 101 Christian singles is your acceptance of the terms on this page. 101 is for meeting Christian friends, social networking, christian singles, dating, pen-pals, Christian singles events, personal ads, pen friends and online chat service for Christian single adults to meet Christians on the Internet worldwide provided FREE by Fusion101 Ltd of the UK.

TERMINATING MEMBERSHIP

Either you, or 101 Christian singles dating service may suspend or terminate your membership or access at any time without reason or notice or on breach of this Agreement by you which comes to 101 Christian singles and dating’s attention. In this event, you will not be entitled to any refund of any unused membership fees, though we are currently a free singles and dating service. When you delete your account on 101 is kept in an inactive state on our database should you wish to re-activate it at any time easily without having go through the sign-up process. On any of our singles services we reserve the right to not approve or enable profiles, or disable any profiles of members that signup and select their marital status as ‘separated’ either at signup or after signup and approval. Membership of 101 Christian singles dating service and Christian social network is for your personal use only. You may not authorise others to use your account or transfer your account to another person.

PRIVACY

101 Christian Networks is committed to creating a safe and secure environment where members can connect comfortably and anonymously with other members. Our intention is only to use your information responsibly to help you and other people interact. Your postal address, real name, email and contact information is NEVER made available to other members, organisations or websites unless YOU add it to your profile (not advised). Unlike most ‘free’ (and non free) sites, we never sell information you add to this site (most ‘free’ sites rely on this income to remain free – we don’t and are subsidised by the site’s owner as a free service to Christians). We only disclose personal details if they are requested by authorities in the case of misuse. Some information, like some information you enter on your profile may be shared with our own related sites in order to maximise your chances of meeting new friends or a suitable partner where we may use a ‘passport system’ (like MSN) so you automatically have access to our other Christian friendship sites and related services. Details you enter (profile, photos, emails etc) are stored on our system. You can remove your profile anytime by clicking ‘my photos/profile’ > ‘close account’ > ‘close old profile’. Some hosting services 101 uses to store data may be located in other countries to be used only in accordance with our strict internal confidentiality standards. Examples of our related sites include: onegoodfriday.com, 101christianevents.com, 101christianchat.com, 101bible.com etc. It is never our intention to spam and accordingly 101 will normally only send out 1 or 2 email newsletters monthly (often none at all) and the occasional notification regarding features, security or modifications to the website if urgent. Our related sites will occasionally send 101 members emails relating to a particular service it’s deemed helpful to our members. We may periodically send out emails to the entire database in order to keep it up to date. We cannot be held responsible if anyone illegally sends you email or text spam under the guise of Fusion101 or its associated companies and websites. Report this to us immediately so we can attempt to stop it.

Occasionally we will contact a member ‘A’ to let them know that member ‘B’ wishes to contact or continue correspondence. We give out contact details only at the giving members request and in this case leave it to the receiving member’s discretion as to wether or not to contact the other member. INFORMATION

The information you give to us may be shared responsibly with and used (only) by our group of websites and services. If any of these are located in other countries we endeavour to ensure that your information is given the same level or protection as required under the UK Data Protection Act. If you join this service you agree that your data can be stored on our web server. We need this to run the site but cannot be held responsible for the consequences that could occur in the unlikely event that a third party gains access to your data either by hacking or some other illegal means. 101 will not knowingly pass on your data to outside or third parties. Customers may change their information or review their services agreement from the “My Photo/Profile” page. You agree that your information may be used in this way for administration purposes and to:

– Provide and run the service you have applied for and develop and improve our products and services.
– Identify and advise you of products and services which 101 and its related companies and services think may interest you.

COOKIES

Our web server collects a small amount of information about you when you request pages from our server, including your IP address. We may do this by placing a cookie on your hard-drive. You may be reminded from time to time about new website features and services that may help you meet new Christian friends. If you do not wish to receive any further 101 newsletters from us, just login and unsubscribe under ‘My Profile/Photos’ > ‘Basic Details’ > scroll down > uncheck the box. Fusion 101 Ltd and its related sites may occasionally (last time was 2003) ask members via email for financial support should we need assistance to pay for costs and stay online but this is unlikely. We may also ask for assistance via our web pages.

ONLINE CONDUCT

As a 101 Christian Networks member you agree that:
1) You are solely responsible for your interactions with 101 Christian singles dating members. 101 Christian singles dating reserves the right, but has no obligation to monitor disputes between you and other Members.
2) You are solely responsible for the content or information you publish or display (hereinafter, “post”) on 101 Christian singles service, or transmit to other 101 Members via this website or via SMS text messaging to other members.
3) You will not post on 101 Christian singles service, or transmit to other 101 Members or Employees or anyone affiliated with the 101 Christian singles, any defamatory, inaccurate, abusive, obscene, profane, intimately oriented, threatening, harassing, racially offensive, or illegal material, or any material that infringes or violates another party’s rights (including, but not limited to, intellectual property rights, and rights of privacy and publicity).
4) You will use 101 service in a manner consistent with any and all applicable laws and regulations.

7) You will not create multiple profiles, unless permitted by 101 Christian singles staff in writing.
8) You will not engage in advertising to, or solicitation of, other members to buy or sell any products or services through the Service. You will not transmit any chain letters or junk E-mail to other 101 Christian singles Members.
9) You will not post, distribute or reproduce in any way any copyrighted material, trademarks, or other proprietary information without obtaining the prior consent of the owner of such proprietary rights.

INDEMNITY BY MEMBER

You will defend, indemnify, and hold harmless 101, its officers, directors, employees, agents and third parties, for any losses (data or otherwise), costs, liabilities and expenses (including reasonable attorneys’ fees) relating to or arising out of your use of 101 Christian singles service, including any breach by you of the terms of this Agreement.

Opinions, advice, statements, offers, or other information or content made available through 101 service are those of their respective authors and not of 101 Christian singles, and should not necessarily be relied upon. 101FreeChristianDating owns and retains other proprietary rights in 101 Christian singles service. IN ADDITION, 101 DISCLAIMS ALL LIABILITY, REGARDLESS OF THE FORM OF ACTION, FOR THE ACTS OR OMISSIONS OF OTHER MEMBERS OR USERS (INCLUDING UNAUTHORISED USERS, OR “HACKERS”) OF THE 101 DATING AND CHAT SERVICE.

STATE BY STATE (and PROVINCE by PROVINCE or COUNTY by COUNTY) VARIATIONS

Certain jurisdictions limit the applicability of warranty disclaimers and limitations of liability so the above disclaimers of warranty and limitations of liability may not apply to you.

GENERAL PROVISIONS

This Agreement is entered into in London, England. You agree that English law (regardless of conflicts of law principles) shall govern this Agreement, and that any dispute arising out of or relating to this Agreement shall be subject to the federal and provincial courts in London, England. This Agreement, accepted upon registering for 101 Christian singles service, contains the entire agreement between you and 101 regarding the use of the Service. This Agreement may only be amended upon notice by 101 to you, or by a writing signed by you and an authorised official of 101 Unless otherwise explicitly stated, the Terms will survive termination of your membership to the Service. If any provision of this Agreement is held invalid, the remainder of this Agreement shall continue in full force and effect.
