A few things about us first…
Now I could easily state 3 major doctrines I know and most would sign up in the safe knowledge I was a ‘good person’ and the rest would not believing me to be a heretic. Or, I could go into great details and you will either get bored of reading or won’t signup because there will inevitably be some points you disagree on. The point is we will never completely agree with anyone on doctrine. Just in case you are one of those people (like i was) that thinks they have everything sown up and anyone that believes a different doctrine is a heretic I will spare you any explantion and cut to the chase. There is a want to use ‘we’ but since I am not creating another denomination or institution I will be brave and use ‘I’ tho this is NOT about me – it’s about facilitating fellowship and loving God and each other. Please forgive me if any parts of my thinking are in error.
- I love God
- I love his son
- I love God’s creation
- I believe the Bible 100%
- I believe there can only be one all powerful ‘God’ by definition.
- I belive doctrine is important but does not have the pwoer to save
- I believe Jesus was the only begotten son of God born of a virgin
- I do not believe I have all my facts perfectly in order
- I do not believe in confessing sins to a priest but my faults to my brothers and sisters as the Bible says
- I believe in not forsaking the assembly of ourselves for edification (I realise there are various interpretations of this)
- I believe no scriptutre is open to interpretation by man and God inspired holy men of God to write down their thoughts and what they witnessed with honesty.
- I believe we can help each others’ understading and speed each others learning
- I believe conspiracies can and often occur but am not mad
- I believe because of varying levels of sin we all see through a glass darkly and can help each other gain a more complete picture.
- I do not believe all Gods are the same or all religions lead to the same God (most religions state themselves as being exclusive though on the surface the may state otherwise).
- I believe (after much research) some Bibles are better than others – but I will look at various translations
- I believe some parts of some denominational beliefs are more accurate than others
- I do not believe in denominations but since some people were ejected or had to leave certain teachings behind they are inevitable with man so we have make the best of what we have.
- I believe in reform rather than instal dismisal of people or churches – just as Christ reforms us rather than discarding us.
- I believe in a personal devil but will not shun you for believing differntly
- I do believe we should support local churches where possible
- I believe much of the world has crept into people and churches so we must always be vigilant (myself included).
- I do not believe we must sit under authority we believe is teaching us wrongly
- I am neither quadratarian, trinitarian, bitarian or unitarian but will not lock anyone out of the site who disagrees with me on this subject since it can be argued from many sides quite convincingly.
- I believe God is a spirit that entered the man Jesus which means Jesus could have either been God incarnate (ie his spirit in a flesh body) – or a man that was in perfect communion with God’s spirit. I have a leaning to believe the former.
- I do not believe in evolution as it is taught – if you do that’s ok with me – let’s talk
- I do not believe religion causes all wars. Whist they have caused some, more people were killed in WWI than all the religious wars put together.
- before dismissing a doctrine or idea I believe in thourugly examining mself first
- I do no believe we should stir up descention among the bretheren but that we should point out error where possible
- I believe we nee to be VERY careful how we view others; God hates a hawtey look.
- I could go on – but I won’t!
I am trying to make a point here; that is I have no doubt you will disagree with some or much of the above. My point is that I do not claim to have all truth – and the only parts I may have are by the grace of God. So rather than dismiss us or someone or a church for saying something you dont agree with, show me where I am wrong so I can correct it. Likewise if you are a church leader, be open to being corrected also. And if you still believe you are with good intension right then according to The Bible you are not at fault (notice it doesnt say you are not wrong!:).
Now the web is like the wold west. Its a lawless place where if you allow an inch people will take a mile – so we need to be careful what we allow without ‘sensoring’ everything. Iie we believe in freedom to speak ones mind – for or agasint good or bad – constututional kind of stuff. But at the same time we are not going to be like Google and let everything and anything appear on the site in the name of ‘free-speech’ as we want to nurture not hurt people.
About Me
If anyone is thinking of employing me I hope you enjoy this:) As far as I know apart from my mother, my family are not believers in what is in The Bible and this has been the source of so much pain. Yet God prepared me for his as I had recurring dreams when I was very young of them being separated from me. I do not know if they will one day. Whilst technolgy has undoubtedly imporved our comfort and I am certain is has not imroved our spirituality. In fat the Bible says that coomfort produces absense of concern with the things of God.
Now for anyone that wants to know more about me, 101 and what I would like to achieve – please read on.
Beacsue I want 101 to be a success by helping as many Christians as possible, my first instinct in todays ever more secular and divided world is to steer well clear of stating my doctrines and beliefs. Whist it is incredible that the web now means anyone that really wants to find out about somethin usually can, one of the negative aspects of having so many talking heads, people in rooms who hear the ‘truth’, conflicting views, doctinens and arguments – indeed this nearly led me to lose my faith some time back. When I clearly heard God tell me
We are on a journey. Whilst 101 runs on a ‘.org’ website domain and several ‘.com’ domains we do not see ourselves as a traditional top-down ‘organisation’ (.org seems closest domain for what we are about). Rather we see 101 as a service that wants to help Christians lives easier in todays ever more secular world, where unless you are ‘in’ what the world is doing, you can easily find yourself on your own – even in Christian circles as many Christian organisations are embracing the worlds values in order to retain ‘membership’. Make no mistake – we all suffer from this and this is what we want to help with.
Because all organisations,s are man-made institutions, ideas and doctrines and tend to run in a ‘top-down’ fashion, they naturally and so have a what’s known in the academic world as a ‘shelf-life’ that involves, reform, action, corruption. The other issue is that that seeks to be a linear

Our Beliefs
I have very strong beliefs in certain doctrines and strong beliefs about others. But at the same time I do not believe all doctrines can be correct or that any one person has the truth. The reason for this is that we are all sinners, and sin causes us to be blind in certain areas of life and has a tendency to make us fit our world view and beliefs and doctrines around our lifestyle – rather than the other way round.
I am certain that if I gave all the areas of darkness in my life completely over to God I would be able to see perfectly clearly which docrtinres and idea were true and false since the Bible tells us excplicitly; “The Holy Spirit will teach you all things.” workd It was some time ago that I realised
So I could say; this is what I believe and you cannot join 101 unless you believe it too. But I realise tha being a Christian is a journey
